DESCRIPTION

These pH balanced, vegan shampoo bars clean using gentle, natural, sulfate-free ingredients, while still having luxurious lather and being tough enough to clean even oily hair. Each bar is infused with the hair-loving Nettle herb and has the refreshing scent of a springtime meadow. There are no synthetic fragrances so your scalp is getting all the benefits of real peppermint, lavender, rosemary, and lemon essential oils. This shampoo bar is not a traditional soap bar (soaps have a high pH) so it doesn't leave a film on your hair like bar soap does; therefore, no vinegar rinse is needed.

Each bar is approximately 2.7 oz  (without packaging) and should last at least 50 washes or longer; a little goes a long way. Weights may vary slightly due to the handmade nature of this item.

*It's important to store the bars in an area which allows them to completely dry between uses. It's best to use a well draining soap dish.

What do you mean by "pH balanced?"
When it comes to hair care, "pH balanced" means a product should have a pH between 4.5 and 5.5. Hair has a pH of around 5. Using a product with a pH beyond this range damages hair over time and raises the cuticles on your hair strands. This leaves hair dull and much more likely to tangle. Our bars test close to a pH of 5.

Why sulfate free?
Sulfates are commonly added to shampoos because they're effective at cleaning, but sometimes too effective. Over time, sulfates corrode and damage hair follicles, dry out hair and scalp, and can lead to skin irritations. We use the most gentle sulfate-free surfactants made from coconut oil and glucose. These are still effective at cleaning your hair without stripping it dry.

Why a bar?
When you buy a bottle of shampoo, you're mostly getting water. Bar shampoo is made without water so it's concentrated. There is no need for the plastic. Did you know only about 10% of plastic in use ever gets recycled? Every bar is equal to at least one or more bottles of shampoo that you're saving from a landfill. Plus, they're TSA compliant!
