Our story

Golf clothes for the way the wet coast plays.

Ninth & Pine is a small new golf label for golfers in Washington, Oregon and up and down the Pacific coast. We make a short range of quiet, well-made pieces, and we take our time getting each one right.

Where it started

Golf out here starts early and often starts grey. The first tee is in fog, the fairways are soft, and by the back nine the sun might find you, or it might not. Most golf clothing is designed for somewhere sunnier. We wanted pieces that suit the way the game is actually played on the wet coast.

So Ninth & Pine started with a simple wish: golf clothes that are well made, easy to layer and quiet in the way they look. The polo you reach for first, the layer that lives in your bag all season, the cap that gets better the more you wear it.

Made for the long season

From the first frosty tee times of spring to those late October afternoons when you squeeze in one more round, we design for layering: a polo that looks sharp on the first tee, a half-zip to pull on when the wind comes off the water, a toque for the frost delay. Add a piece, take one off, and keep playing.

Quality, chosen carefully

We would rather make a few things properly than a lot of things quickly. Every piece starts with samples that we wear, wash and live with before anything goes on sale. If something doesn't feel right, it doesn't make the range.

We keep claims plain. You won't find us promising a fabric does something it hasn't been tested for, and every product page lists the fibre content and care straight from the label.

Made to order

Each piece is embroidered when you order it and shipped to you in the United States, so there is no warehouse of unsold stock behind it, just the one we make for you.

The name

The ninth is the turn: the pause between the front and back nine, a coffee or a quick bite, and a look at the sky to see what the back nine will bring. Pine is for the tall trees that line the fairways from Puget Sound to the Oregon coast. Together it sounds like a corner where you meet your group before a round.

Small on purpose

We are new and we are small, and we like it that way. A real person reads every email and writes back. Sales open on January 15, 2027. If you have an idea for something we should make, we genuinely want to hear it. Thanks for being here at the start.
