How to plan team golf shirts for a league or event

Custom shirts make a league or event feel like an occasion. Most ordering problems come from leaving it late, sending a low-resolution logo, or guessing sizes. This checklist avoids all three.

Start early#

Allow time for a quote, a digital proof of your logo on the garment, your approval, then production and shipping. Starting four to six weeks before the event leaves room for a change of mind.

Send the right logo file#

A vector file (AI, EPS, PDF or SVG) gives the cleanest embroidery. A large, sharp PNG can work. Small logos with fine text often need simplifying for thread; the proof shows you how it will look before anything is made.

Collect real sizes#

Ask each player for their usual size and, ideally, the flat chest width of a shirt they like. Guessing a spread of sizes leads to leftovers and gaps. Mixed sizes in one order are normal.

Keep the logo quiet#

A small logo on the left chest looks more considered than a large one across the front, and players are more likely to wear the shirt again after the event.
